Box is a civil parish, the lowest tier of local government, within the Wiltshire Council Unitary Authority.

The parish of Box incorporates the village of Box and the settlements of Alcombe, Ditteridge, Middle Hill, Ashley, Kingsdown, Box Hill, Rudloe, Hazelbury, Chapel Plaister and Wadswick.

Members of the public are welcome to attend all Parish Council meetings and are invited to make representations at the start of each meeting.

The Parish Council is a Gateway Ambassador for the ‘Great West Way’ - providing information on a touring route between London and Bristol.
